In the off-season, Camp Dark Waters is a wooded haven for retreats, family reunions, scout and youth groups, and more...day or overnight! For over 75 years, the Camp Dark Waters Conference Center has offered the perfect, scenic setting for groups of all ages to come together and share the simple living among quiet deciduous woods. We provide school groups, church retreats, youth and scout groups, workshops, family reunions and group picnics a friendly, rustic setting to gather together in fellowship. Here, friendships develop; groups hold unity and individuals benefit from a new sense of self-worth and personal confidence. Combined with challenges, provided on the ropes course elements, canoeing, and a group living experience, we’ve helped groups develop a fresh understanding, new insight, and a spiritual renewal, from the peace and quiet of this wilderness setting. Our 15 acres of beautiful woods and rustic buildings along a meandering creek can accommodate day groups of up to 150 people and overnight groups of up to 94. Our screened dining room, wooded glen with log benches, assembly area and insulated conference room provide plenty of space for large gatherings of any kind. Our facilities also include an outdoor stage, open playing field for group games, archery course, two docks with canoes, two large campfire areas along the stream, a hard-packed basketball court, ping pong tables, tetherball poles, and shallow pool. Call us today to reserve your space! Canoeing Ropes Course |
